# Crypto Template

> Ready settings for a crypto strategy that copies Discord or Telegram calls into Robinhood Crypto, and what Robinhood Crypto does for crypto orders.

## Who it is for

This template is for traders who copy coin calls, such as BTC or ETH, from a Discord or Telegram room into a Robinhood Crypto account. Crypto trades all day and all night, so the strategy can trade outside stock market hours. For memecoins from your own wallet, use the [Solana](/docs/templates/memecoins-solana/) or [Robinhood Chain](/docs/templates/memecoins-robinhood-chain/) template.

## Settings

Start from **Start from scratch**, then set these values. [The Strategy Editor](/docs/copy-trading/strategy-editor/) explains each setting.

| General | Source | Discord or Telegram | TradingView is not offered for crypto. |
| General | Instrument | Crypto | This routes the strategy to Robinhood Crypto. |
| General | Direction | Both | The strategy acts on buy and sell calls. |
| General | Ticker | ALL, or one coin such as BTC | ALL trades every coin the room calls. |
| General | Entry | Market | Market is the only entry for crypto. |
| General | Time in force | GTC | GTC is the app default. |
| Brokers | Broker | Robinhood Crypto | It is the only crypto broker. |
| Sizing | How to pick the trade size | Fixed size | Every trade uses the same size. |
| Sizing | Default quantity | 50, Dollars | Robinhood Crypto buys $50 of the coin. |
| AI | AI selling | On | The strategy acts on sell calls. |
| AI | Memory | Normal | The AI remembers the coin the caller bought. |
| Risk & exits | Stop loss | 15% | The position closes when it loses 15%. |
| Risk & exits | Take profit | 40% | The position closes when it gains 40%. |
| Protections | Duplicate protection | On | A repeat of a recent signal does not trade twice. |
| Notifications | Send to Discord | On | Fills and errors show in your Discord channel. |

Crypto trades on Robinhood Crypto only.

Things the editor does for you:

- Entry and Exit show a locked **Market** tile.
- The trailing stop box does not show.
