Copy a Discord Channel ID

Turn on Discord Developer Mode and copy a channel ID so you can point a strategy at that channel.

A Discord channel ID is the unique number for one channel. When you build a strategy in TradeLabs, you point it at the channels it should watch. Most of the time you find a channel by name in the picker, but pasting the ID lets you target a channel the picker can’t list yet.

Turn on Developer Mode

Discord hides the copy option until Developer Mode is on.

  1. Open Discord and click the User Settings gear near your username, at the bottom left.

  2. In the left sidebar, scroll down and open Advanced.

  3. Turn on the Developer Mode toggle.

  2. Right-click the channel name.

Note

If you don’t see Copy Channel ID, Developer Mode is still off. Go back and turn it on.

Use it in a strategy

Open your strategy in the editor. In the Discord channel picker, paste the ID into the search box. The list shows a Use channel ID row, and adding it looks up the channel name once it’s added.
